Happy ("we," "our," or "us") is a private golf social application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Happy app ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account and use the App:

• Account information: Name and email address, provided via Sign in with Apple or email magic link.
• Profile information: Job title, industry, home golf course(s), handicap index, pace preference, profile photo, and Instagram handle (all optional).
• Golf activity: Tee times you host or join, scores you enter, accolades, tournament results, group memberships, and friend connections.
• Communications: Messages or requests sent within the App (e.g., join requests).

We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or any sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and profile
• Enable you to host, join, and score golf rounds
• Display your profile and activity to other members of the App
• Facilitate group and tournament features
• Send you notifications related to your rounds, requests, and activity
• Improve and maintain the App

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

3. Information Shared With Other Members

Happy is a social app. Certain information is visible to other members by design:

• Your profile (name, handicap, industry, home course, accolades, round history)
• Tee times you host or join
• Scores and results from rounds and tournaments you participate in
• Friend connections

Membership in Happy is invite-only and subject to operator approval. All members have agreed to these terms.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email address with us (or a private relay email at your option). We use this information only to create and manage your account. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

8. Children's Privacy

Happy is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
